LOVE SHOWS RESPECT

Render to all men their dues. Pay taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, and honour to whom honour is due.

ROMANS 13:7

Love respects the differences in other people. A selfish person expects everyone to be just the way he is and to like whatever he likes.

Respecting individual rights is very important. If God had wanted us to all be alike, He would not have given each of us a different set of fingerprints. I think that one fact alone proves that we are created equal, but different.

We all have different gifts and talents, different likes and dislikes, different goals in life, different motivation, and the list goes on and on.

Love shows respect; the person who loves has learned to give freedom to those he loves. Freedom is one of the greatest gifts we can give. It was what Jesus came to give us, and we must also give it to others.

All of God’s creation has great worth and should be treated as such. Since people are the height of His creation, they should be treated with great respect and considered very valuable.
